The Acalanes Women’s Soccer team (3-0) soundly defeated the Las Lomas Lady Knights Wednesday night 4-1.
Acalanes won their first DFAL (Diablo Foothill Athletic League) match behind a strong overall team effort. The Lady dons’ offense was firing on all cylinders. Sophomore Katharine Larson opened up the scoring with a goal for the Lady Dons early on in the match. Acalanes then extended the lead with a goal from junior Lexie Silva.
Acalanes led comfortably 2-0 at the half.
In the second half, another Katharine, senior Katharine Torchio found the back of the net for the Lady Dons to put them up 3-0 and seemingly put the nail in the coffin for Las Lomas.
However, Las Lomas then found their own offensive groove and scored. It was just too little and too late for the Lady Knights. Acalanes then answered with a goal from Kierra Krawec to cap off a solid win for the Lady Dons soccer squad.
