The musical, which premiered on Broadway in 1972, follows a young prince, Pippin (Cameron Burrill), who searches to find some meaning in his life. The Leading Player (Kat Bautista) directs the play within a play that showcases Pippin’s life. Pippin’s father, King Charlemagne (Jared Ericksen), and his step-brother, Lewis (Dan Igoe) plan to go off to war against the Visigoths. Pippin originally wants to go with them into war, but is soon bored with the idea, and flees into the countryside instead. Throughout Pippin’s self journey, he discovers many important parts of life, and meets extraordinary people along the way, including his love interest, Catherine (Rachel Ferreira). Tickets are on sale at the Acalanes webstore and in the front quad at lunch. Pippin shows on March 5 and 6 at 7:00, and March 8 at 7:30.
