The Dons (13-2 overall, 3-0 DFAL) have crafted a phenomenal season thus far and it only got better Tuesday night at Acalanes, narrowly beating Dublin High 5-4 on a walk-off single.
The game did not start off great for the Dons as they gave up three early runs in the 1st inning. After settling down, the Dons managed to put up two runs in the 3rd inning to cut the lead to one run.
In the bottom of the 6th inning, senior Tom Henderson gave the Dons the lead with a two run double, making the score 4-3.
The Dons made their way into the 7th inning holding a narrow lead. With their backs against the wall, Dublin managed to score one run in the top of the 7th to tie the game at 4-4. One run would be all the damage Dublin would make in the 7th, pushing the game into the bottom of the 7th inning.
Wasting no time in the bottom of the 7th, junior Will Rembac hit a walk-off infield single, winning the game 5-4.
The Dons performance tonight keeps them undefeated in league at 4-0 and pushes their overall record to 14-2. They will look to keep up the winning momentum when they face Alhambra on Thursday April 21st.
