// The Dons football team trekked across the country to play Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach, Florida on September 2. While this is the first time the Dons traveled out of state for a game, they hoped for success after a whopping 56-14 win against Alhambra the past week.

Senior quarterback Robby Rowell had a successful game with a total of 196 passing yards, earning three touchdowns. Senior Aidan McNamara, senior Brian Merken, and junior Chris Rogers all received touchdown passes.

The Dons prevailed with a score of 21-14. According to Rowell, defense played a significant role in the team’s victory.

“Defense had a key stop on fourth down with 10 seconds left to preserve the win,” Rowell said.

Overall, the team believes the trip was extremely worthwhile.

“It was very good competition,” Rowell said.
