Homemade Hot Chocolate

// With winter holidays approaching quickly, impress your family and friends with this homemade hot chocolate recipe! 


  • 3 cups half and half
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • ⅓ cup condensed milk
  • Pinch of salt 
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract


  • In a pot, combine the half and half, chocolate, condensed milk, salt, and ¼ of a cup of water. Whisk this mixture over medium heat. Continue to do so until the chocolate is fully melted. Continue to do this for approximately 5-8 minutes. Do not let the mixture start to boil. 
  • Taking the mixture off the stove, serve the hot chocolate into mugs with whipped cream and enjoy!
