Class of 2026 Winners

Stella Pacheco: Senior Class President

Junior Stella Pacheco aims to cultivate a sense of unity in the grade. As current junior class vice president, Pacheco feels her leadership and connection make her a strong candidate for senior class president.

“I have experience and I have a wide network of people in our grade that I feel are comfortable talking to me about things that they want to see for our grade,” Pacheco said.

Pacheco hopes to create a more inclusive environment that uplifts students with various interests and backgrounds.

“I really want to unite my grade and foster a community for every single group of people on our campus, not just the most outspoken people. I also want to foster, outside of that, a community between each grade together,” Pacheco said.

Alexis Le: Senior Class Secretary

Junior Alexis Le has been in leadership for two years. She was on the rallies board sophomore year and is currently a spirit commissioner. If elected, Le hopes to strengthen connections within her class.

“I think I have good ideas for making our class closer and bonded and an easy person to approach and talk to. I’m a very personable person and love to talk to new people,”

With her leadership experience and personable nature, Le wants to focus on building relationships in the upcoming year.

“[My goal is to] meet new people and get closer with them… I’m funny and easy to talk to so it’ll be easy to collaborate with me,” Le said.

Gemma Greenway: Senior Class Treasurer

Junior Gemma Greenaway’s work ethic and passion for leadership help to make Greenaway a qualified candidate for the role.

I’ve been in leadership for a year and I feel like I’ve grown so much and want to contribute more and continue to do so,” Greenaway said. “I think my dedication to this. I love being in leadership, I have a really strong work ethic and I have a passion for this kind of work,”.

If elected, Greenway plans to emphasize showing up for and participating in sports and school community events to foster a school spirit.

“I think we could do more showing out and showing out at sports events, dress ups, and I think that would benefit the community and uplift everyone if we were all doing it as a whole,” Greenaway said.

Class of 2027 Winners

Nikhil Hunn: Junior Class President

Sophomore Nikhil Hunn has served as class president for the past two years and hopes to continue in this role next year. His passion for leadership and commitment to making a difference set him apart.

“I find a lot of fulfillment out of doing leadership and I think being in that position again will help me to continue to make an impact and feel that sense of purpose in making an impact,” Hunn said.

By focusing on increasing involvement and representation, Hunn aims to create a more unified student body.

“My campaign mission for next year is creating more highlights and spotlighting other people in our grade and having a year where we get more of the grade to show up to concerts and plays, and… underappreciated sports and just having more representation in everything and having our grade be aware of all that we do besides just the biggest standouts,” Hunn said.

Grace Eppinger:  Junior Class Secretary

Sophomore Grace Eppinger has been in Leadership for two years and is the current sophomore class vice president. She aims to ensure the Acalanes community is one where students feel comfortable to be themselves.

“I want Acalanes to be a place where people feel comfortable and look forward to come to school … I feel that I can be an approachable face on campus that can help lead my grade to create a great community,” Eppinger said.

Eppinger believes her experiences in her extracurriculars make her a good candidate to represent the junior class and help them get through their third year of high school.

“As a soccer and lacrosse player, I have developed great time management, the ability to organize plans around my schedule, and communication skills … Junior year is stressful. I can organize fun, exciting events to keep your mind free from the stress and pressures that we will face each week,” Eppinger said.

*Grace Colaco: Junior Class Treasurer

Sophomore Grace Colaco aims to use her experience in various groups on campus including her current position on the student life board to represent the student body.

“I do a lot of extracurriculars and I feel like I’m a part of many different groups on campus. I play three different sports, I’m a part of a couple of clubs and I’ve been in leadership for the past two years. I’ve really seen a lot of different sides to groups on campus and I can effectively represent each group on campus and make everyone feel seen,” Colaco said.

Colaco believes her teamwork skills will be an asset to the position and will help the class officers effectively achieve their goals.

“I really like to work in a team which is why I think I’d be effective on a board of class officers because I’m really good at talking through decisions and I feel like if I was working with a smaller board I’d do a great job making sure things get done,” Colaco said.
